Making Money Online

There are many ways of making money online but I am going to cover the main ways that anyone can get started with and produce income quickly.

First of all however I want you to understand that as with any business you will get out in proportion to what you put in!

There are no free lunches and no magic buttons that will make you a millionaire overnight; so forget the hype and be prepared to learn and put into practice what you learn.

Simply put I am going to cover the 3 main methods of creating income. It stands to reason that if you are going to make some cash then someone somewhere must spend some cash. That transaction may earn you a small commission or it may be that you receive all the cash spent, e.g. where you sell something that you own.

  1. The easiest way of generating income for most people is where there is no selling involved. This is usually by advertising on your site either being directly paid (for allowing some advert to be shown) or by you being paid when a person clicks on an advert to find more information. The first of these can be hard to achieve and does in fact involve you selling the advertising space and is not very practical for most people especially when beginning.
The second option however, displaying “pay per click” ads is very easy and costs you nothing. All you need to concentrate on is getting your site seen and then visitors may or may not click on adverts. A 5% click through rate (ctr) is a fairly normal ratio and the price you are paid for each click can vary fron a few cents to $1 or more, with 25 cents being a common average. So if we take these figures and you are aiming to make $1 a day, you would need just 4 people to click on an advert and at 5% that would need 80 visitors. Now $1 a day may not seem much but once you learn to build a site that makes this regularly then you can duplicate this and keep adding sites. Build 1 site a week and at the end of a year you could have $52 a day income without ever making a sale!
This is without doubt a great way to make money from home as it requires the very simplest of actions and although each action pays you only  a small amount it can build into a significant income.
  2. One step up from this is what is known as a “cost per action” or CPA system. This is where a person submits information in exchange for some reward and you get paid for each completed action. The action can be a simple as submitting a zip/post code or as complex as completing a large survey. The more complex the action the greater the reward for the person taking the action and the greater the reward for you as the person generating the action. Although the person does not buy anything the company paying you finds value in the information collected.
Note however that to get someone to enter a post/zip code is slightly more difficult that getting them to click on an advert and to get someone to complete a 3 page survey can be extremely difficult – all depending on what the person taking the action is offered. The more complex the action the greater the reward for both you and the action taker but the more difficult it may be to instigate the action. The trick is to find a CPA program that is an attractive offer without too much effort and a good reward for you. They do exist! One lucrative CPA I know of was paying $30 for an insurance inquiry, you don’t need to many of those a day to start making serious cash!
The thing to remember with this type of program is that you must be very specific in targeting your traffic. It would be pointless trying to get inquiries for prime steaks from a vegitarian audience.
  3. Finally there is the area of online sales. This is the most profitable per sale but the most difficult to achieve. If you believe the hype you will make $1,000,000 in a year or less from this especially using affiliate sales, however the reality is that to make a large income from online sales takes time and effort. Affiliate sales can be lucrative but don’t expect it to be easy!!
The advantage of affiliate sales is that you do not need to have your own product and can sell a range of items including brand named goods and ranging through software and downloadable products. Most of the “hype” around affiliate sales is in fact aimed at selling worthless systems and most of those attempting to sell them are just people who have been suckered in by the “easy money” sales patter.
That said there is good cash to be made from affiliate sales once you have learned the basics and put in the effort; the profits may be higher than options 1 or 2 but it is a harder road to take, especially for the novice. If you are in the position of having your own product to sell then you can even use affiliates to make sales for you on a commission basis.

So that covers the basics and if you are just starting out, or have tried without success for any length of time then I recommend going back to basics and starting with option number 1 above. If needed I can point you in the direction of a wonderful program that will ensure your success in setting up $1 a day websites and creating a residual, passive, above average income from them.
